The project assesses the ability of the Swedish surveillance system to detect cases of six important zoonoses. The results of the project will make it easier to estimate the number of detected cases in relation to the actual number of cases in the population, which is necessary to know in order to estimate the social costs of these diseases. The project is implemented in cooperation with the Public Health Agency and the NFA with grant funding from the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency.

The project will be finalized in December 2017
