The national food strategy (2030) in Sweden aims to promote efficient use of resources that is economically and environmentally sustainable. A more efficient production can increase profitability and reduce environmental impact per product
The aim of the project is to provide knowledge to promote sustainable plant production in Sweden by studying: i) environmental efficiency; ii) synergies between high profitability and low environmental impact. The analysis covers the period 2009 - 2016.
The project is a collaboration between AgriFood and the Department of Economics at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). The project will be finished in autumn 2020.
