There is little doubt that we are in the midst of a global warming that will have negative impacts for humans, particularly for our children and grandchildren. But how large will these effects be—will the globe be slightly less pleasant for them, or will it be almost impossible for humans to live on it at all? What is a rational approach to dealing with a potential catastrophe on a scale that humans have never experienced? This question is discussed by Mark Brady based on the thoughts and theories of leading environmental economists. This and other climate-change related questions are discussed in the book in Swedish “15 touchdowns in climate research: Past Present Future (Lund University, Lund).
